Unity Cme Church – Outreach Ministry

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

At Unity CME Church, our Outreach Ministry is rooted in the call to serve and uplift others through the love of Christ. We are committed to meeting real needs and creating lasting change in the lives of those in our community—putting faith into action by showing up where it matters most.
Monthly Feeding & Clothing Ministry
Every 4th Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, we provide meals, clothing, and compassionate care at the Bessemer Recreation Center and other locatioins. This monthly outreach brings relief and dignity to individuals and families facing food insecurity and hardship.​
Annual Holiday GiveBack
In December, we host our Holiday Give-Back in partnership with Miles College and other local organizations. This large-scale community effort blesses thousands of families with electronics, household items, clothing, toys, and more—spreading joy, hope, and love during the holiday season.
Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway
​Each year, we distribute full Thanksgiving meals to families in need, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to celebrate with a warm, nourishing meal.
Prayer Walks & Community Engagement
Through ongoing prayer walks, we intercede for our schools, neighborhoods, and families—bringing God’s presence and peace to our streets.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
We proudly partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters (www.bbbsbhm.org) mentoring to make a difference by creating professionally supported, one-to-one matches for kids to realize their full potential.
One Church One School
We proudly partner with One Church One School (www.onechurchoneschool.org) to provide spiritual guidance to the next generation. These initiatives help strengthen family systems and reinforce the value of faith-based support in education.
Partnership with CAM (Community and Mission)
We also partner with CAM (Community and Mission), a faith-rooted, justice-centered movement that exists to build bridges between congregations, organizations, and communities. CAM helps churches like Unity CME move from charity to deep community engagement—fostering transformation through racial healing, civic empowerment, and collective action. Kingdom Kidz Children’s Ministry

“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
​At Unity CME Church, we believe that children aren’t just the future of the church—they are a vital part of God’s Kingdom right now. Our Kingdom Kidz Children’s Ministry is designed for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, offering a Christ-centered space where they can learn, grow, and experience the love of Jesus in meaningful ways.
Inspired By Jesus’ “kids First” Approach To Ministry, We Prioritize The Spiritual Development Of Our Young People. Through Interactive Lessons, Worship, Service Projects, And Fun Activities, Kingdom Kidz Teaches Children:
